Yellowstone River

The Yellowstone is a big volume river, one of the last large free flowing rivers in the Western US. Trips start at the border of Yellowstone Park, since there is no river boating allowed inside the park. The class 2 half day whitewater section is great for families and first time rafters, offering fun wave rapids and beautiful mountain scenery. The full day trip has some class 3 rapids, and lots of scenic flat water floating.
